Take your time with the new series and do it right. I want to see you vindicated. Given the levels of opposition you seem to be discovering, it needs to be done right. Everyone whining in your substack chat can learn a little patience. Thanks for everything you do!
"God has no social skills" vis-a-vis the Jessica Jones example, it one of the funniest and thought provoking hot takes I've heard in a long time. Bravo.
Thank you for these religious episodes man. I’m a paid subscriber because I love your work, but your religious episodes make me stop work and really start thinking.
Damn Darryl, you were on fire in this one. I'm someone who was formerly Catholic in my early childhood and teenage years whose family decided to leave the Church and become 'independent' Christians(around the time Trump began running for office, strangely). From that point on, I strayed from my parents 'new way of thinking' and abandoned biblical texts all together. Not out of spite or a new found nihilism, but a sense of relief. I found Church excruciatingly boring and dull, and I saw Wednesday night Catholic class as more school, which already felt was prison, and a place that I had to go to as a pre-requisite to do things I actually wanted to do which at the time was play sports. I've never been an atheist, but I've also never been a devoted Christian who prays, I guess I'm just wandering, not really sure what to make of it all, while also never feeling inspired enough to go do the work myself. Anyway, for someone who has only been thinking about Christianity 'part-time' for a while, whenever you begin riffing on it I can't help but feel so inspired to go do the work myself, and to re-visit these texts. The perspective you bring makes my inner Christian come alive for some strange reason. Reading the bible has always been something I have aimed to do before I die(I'm only 24), and your jamming with Duncan has greatly inspired me to blow the dust off my Bible and set-forth. Thank you DC, appreciate your work!
You shall be known by your fruits. Douglas definitely showed this. Thank you Darryl for fighting the good fight! It's not the critic who counts, but the man in the arena.
In either A History of God or one of Bart Ehrman's books, I read that the Book of Job is actually the oldest book in the Bible. If true, that makes it even more interesting that it's last in the Torah.
I’m assuming Duncan will now give equal time to an “expert” with opposing views to satisfy Douglas.

Nice! Wonder what Darryl says to piss off the thin-skinned this time?
Well he was on his third blasphemy. And there's always someone to take umbrage whenever you put 'Christian' and 'myth' in the same sentence.

Any response to Dave Smith and Douglas Murray's podcast?
Nah, Dave pretty much handled it, and the best response I could have to Douglas was just to let him keep talking.
You shall be known by your fruits. Douglas definitely showed this. Thank you Darryl for fighting the good fight! It's not the critic who counts, but the man in the arena.
Wow that was awesome. Identified with so much. Thanks for introducing me to Duncan.
Just…WOW🙏🏼🕊️❤️🦅
The William Munny line from Unforgiven was a nice touch.
Little Bill was building a house.
RIP Gene Hackman.
Looking forward to this one!
Duncan didn't quite get the name right but he was referring to Thérèse of Lisieux.
Epic! Proper vibes 💪
“The devil moves in crowds, God speaks to us individually” 🤯
Reminds me of the scene in Passion where you do in fact see the devil moving through a crowd.
I loved to hear you two talk about Christianity.
