Hurry up and put out the second podcast so I can hear it before you are found dead in mysterious circumstances…

Kinda joking, kinda not

Rob J's avatar

Can't wait for part 2. We need to get Darryl on Joe Rogans podcast would be so many interesting conversations to be had there just saying.

Benjamin's avatar

Man that'd be awesome. DC on joe Rogan.

I can't think of a more interesting guy for joe to BS with than Daryl cooper.

Part historian, part philosopher and generally a ballsy BMF.

Jay Amon's avatar

I'd love to see Darryl on either Joe Rogan or Tim Pool's podcasts.

Vasili Blokhin's avatar

Eh, he was on Pool's show, and looked kinda bored.

Adam Love's avatar

All due respect, Tim is no Joe.

Vasili Blokhin's avatar

That's an understatement. Tim Pool fell off hard. I could only hear about how he's a chicken farmer who used to skate so many times.

Darryl, you truly are the best in the business. Hardcore history caliber content.

Re Tuskegee syphilis study: if I recall correctly, you stated that the researchers infected Black men with syphilis at the start of the experiment. My understanding is that the men got the STD independently of the study and that the researchers gave some of the men a placebo WITHOUT TELLING THEM they might be in the control group. (Also: this went on FOR YEARS.)

Regardless, the scientists were unethical af. Evil, even. But this is a degree different from deliberately infecting the men. Do you know which version of the events is true?

Darryl Cooper's avatar

I think your version is right. The example came to me off the top of my head while recording, I should’ve checked and edited it.

Thanks for the comment Grace and for the response Darryl. I did find the intro the episode a bit full on. For someone like myself who isn't up to speed on these issues, starting of with claims like these can seem a bit farfetched. I've been listening to you for a while so I trust you have evidence to back it up but these claims could turn new listeners off (especially if they aren't completely accurate).

But I did enjoy the episode and I am looking forward to the next one. Great work Darryl!

It reminded me of Bluto’s big speech in Animal House:

- Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

- Germans?

- Forget it, he’s rolling.

Darryl was on a roll and I agreed with the message even while I quibbled with the facts

Thanks. Have been binge listening to Fear and Loathing in the New Jerusalem while it snows here in Missouri. You do your homework!

I’m starting to see the picture form. But what kind of power blackmails Presidents and princes? You didn’t even have to be a pedo to be blackmailed...just have to have flown on his plane or to his island, spent time at his house, etc. The powers that used Epstein, are the ones that control the media. Puts things in perspective when you realize that US Presidents are the ones being blackmailed.

Daniel's avatar

I will remember your name, DC.

Hahaha

I don't mean to distract, but those interested should have a look at the work Whitney Webb has done on Epstein, Gates, and Maxwell.

I very much look forward to this episode. Thanks Cooper.

Vasili Blokhin's avatar

Whitney Webb is a bonafide hero.

“Money laundering is as central to organized crime, as it is to intelligence operations. Nothing happens without it.”

BOOM! Seems obvious once stated, but most normal people forget to think like that. Darryl, I think you should have had Jocko read that line in his most serious, pause-for-impact voice and cut it into the audio hahaha!

Laggy's avatar

*Jocko

Totally. Then Jocko could give his “sigh of exasperation and futility” as I’ve come to know it

Davin Richenberg's avatar

Thanks 😑 that’s what happens when you don’t detach and actually read your own comment before you post it…

Laggy's avatar

I was just being a spelling Nazi. Everyone here knew who/what you meant. And it was an excellent recommendation. Unraveling has become such an awesome podcast for me.

Ian's avatar

Can't get enough of the Unraveling. My two favorite podcasts coming together like Carl Weathers and Arnold Schwarzenegger in Predator.

Davin Richenberg's avatar

Same! This podcast sub is the best ever. I’d totally pay $150 a year!

Laggy's avatar

Well worth the stimulation. People on here seem to be open to new ideas. And also privy to old ones without being to vent on extremism. Speaking of which, did you read DC’s post on extremism?

Davin Richenberg's avatar

I don’t think I did, I mostly just keep up with the podcasts and come here to sub stack to jump in the comment threads but I’ll go back and look for it!

FConstraints's avatar

Damn dude. One of the best episodes yet. Can't wait for part 2.

Susan's avatar

Great appetizer; looking forward to the main dish. This 'shorter' version was nice; some days it's tough to really listen with intent to a 4 or 5 or 7 hour podcast. (Other days it's a breeze.) The sex-trafficking of minors just seems to be getting worse and worse which makes sense if governments are essentially supporting it.

Ian's avatar

This topic drives me absolutely insane. It is so obvious and brazenly out in the open and yet there is practically zero reporting on this. Really makes you think who is implicated in this, obviously politicians, the vast majority of the news media, certainly billionaires and the institutions they operate. It runs deep...It would be interesting to see what the US would look like if all the cards fell? Too bad we know that isn't happening. Looking forward to part two, you're doing yeoman's work. Stay safe, I've been really enjoying the move to substack and it would suck if you were found dead by apparent self inflicted mag dump to the back of the head.

Vasili Blokhin's avatar

This is a pedocracy. Nothing new, Tiberius was doing it two millennia ago. But as a tool of political control, it's fairly new.

PJ's avatar

Good stuff here DC. Curious if you recorded part 2 after this week’s guilty verdict, and in any case your thoughts about getting closer to the truth. The utter lack of curiosity in media and society at large is the most infuriating part of this story. Oh, and Hunters laptop.

Ian's avatar

All going according to plan

Laggy's avatar

Impeccable timing

Shelley Wilson's avatar

You do excellent work.

Jamie's avatar

Awesome episode! I know you’ve said that you don’t want to turn this into a current events podcast, but it is super helpful when you put out these types of episodes. Can’t wait for part two.

Working Class Nero's avatar

Checked for this few hours ago....Great timing.

First content I'm excited to listen along with my wife. My stuff is usually too deep in the weeds historically or just plain horrific. But not this Epstein motherfucker, he brings everyone together. Super late in Ireland so listening will be done tomorrow, really looking foward to it.

LandonFire's avatar

Ha was just typing that... 2 sec too late
