Reading Keith Lowe’s Savage Continent after listening to the Anti-Humans, especially the chapter about the Greek Civil War and how America’s involvement in it catalyzed the Cold War, has also been helpful in understanding the dynamic between the The US and Russia since World War 2.
Does anybody have any good book recommendations that discuss the path the US has taken from Isolationism to its current international meddling?
Thank you very much Mr. Cooper. I tried to make my question broad enough to get a good range of book recommendations. I just bought the book, as well as the one by Tony Judt (thanks Randall!)

Adam Tooze’s The Great Deluge isn’t exactly what you’re asking for, but it’s a great book to start with.

I feel like to understand any of this the first thing you have to read is Tony Judt’s Postwar (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Postwar:_A_History_of_Europe_Since_1945)
It provides a great historical framework for thinking through the narrower and deeper history of US foreign policy in Europe.
Can vouch for this book, Judt does a great job
