Status report

I’m working really hard to finish a long-ish essay for you guys by Sunday night (12/18). It is on a spicy topic and I probably should not write it, but since when has that ever stopped me?

After that, for a few weeks I will probably mostly publish commentary on books or essays, to give myself room in the day to finish up this next Whose America episode. I just need a handful of dedicated weeks and it will be done, and it’s just impossible (for me, at least) to keep up with a schedule of original Substack content, Unraveling (new one was recently recorded, out this weekend), while getting into the obsessive mindset I need to finish a history episode.

On the other hand, this may all be irrelevant because if I’m not careful with this weekend’s essay I’m probably going down in flames anyway.
