Agreed that this was definitely one of the most difficult stories I've ever heard, however I have mixed feelings that most people should hear that. I still struggled with this one, and I picture my wife or children having to experience those emotions. I'm someone who believes that everyone that eats an animal should have to at least see how that type of animal lives and dies. If you can do that, then eat away. That comparison doesn't quite fit here though, as it would be like having to watch that same animal be tortured. Does it happen? Sure. But that's not how most animals live. Maybe we should have them start with listening to "The Cold War: What We Saw", and see what they think about socialism/communism then.
Point taken. I think what I really meant to say was, the people who are glorifying Communism & want that for our country, should have to hear it. However, it's interesting to note, those are the same people you'll hear say things like "that wasn't real Communism."
I just find it alarming how many of our citizens are embracing it.
Completely agree. Many people who want communism/socialism have their hearts in the right place. I just think they have inaccurate perceptions of what those forms of government truly are and lead too. If I have to hear, "We should all be like Sweden" one more time;)
Just got my piece delivered today, absolutely stunning. It is definitely going to be the center piece of my "collection" consisting now of two paintings. Now if only I had a good place to put it...
